The Saltbush Story
Not a person or a presence. We do not belong to comfort or seek approval. There are no barbed fences to contain our words. We endure, with writing as our sustenance. The Saltbush is a shelter, it thrives among harsh conditions, it leans into natures resilience and beauty, as an anchor in our landscape, to the shifting seasons.

We belong to the land, the rivers, the sea and the sky. Our role is to publish creativity of artists and writers. Stories revealing the cracks in our foundations, from the wild voices silenced for too long. Each issue raises the volume, of marginalised, vulnerable and determined voices. With their fierce fury, filled with wonder, curiosity and connection. Rooted to Country, unafraid of the truth.
