Saltbush Publishing Co. is committed to fostering a cultural and creative awakening.

We strive to amplify voices of silenced truth-tellers and rebels. We aim to blur the lines between art and activism, by reviving the written word with diverse writers, poets, and artists. We seek words that push boundaries, challenge exile, holds tension between endurance and rebirth.

A theme will be released 14 days prior to the submissions open date.

All submissions require a $10 entry fee (writers experiencing hardship are welcome to submit a  fee waive request).

Submissions are limited to 2 pieces per writer, each issue; must be in a Word document with 1.5 spacing between lines , using a Times Roman 12 font.

All writers and artists are welcome to participate in interpreting the provocation for each issue. However,  we particularly encourage and embrace submissions from First Nations writers, LGBTQI+ community and writers with disability. All entries must be received before 5pm on last day of closing.

Writers are encouraged to provide a short 1 paragraph introduction about themselves and their connection to the Wimmera region.
